Prior to joining the company, Cooper was Managing Director of Transportation Major Projects and Design for Kier Group, where he was responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of major projects across the country for key clients including National Highways.
He said: “I am delighted to join the Heidelberg Materials team and feel privileged to pick up the contracting baton.
“The company has a long-standing reputation in the UK for being collaborative, customer-focused and reliable and I have witnessed this first hand in my previous role. I was also drawn to Heidelberg Materials’ focus on sustainability and recycling which is vitally important in the maintenance, renewal and construction of our road network.
“I am looking forward to continuing the great work that has been done to date. I want to empower and support the team to drive innovation and forward thinking, which will allow us to continue to install quality products on the UK road network and excite our customers with our sustainable solutions and reliable delivery.”
